In the Alto Milanese area, an area that I believe is surrounded by beauty in every sense, "Christmas Concerts" have multiplied during the Christmas week. I followed some of them in chronological order such as "The Grand Christmas Concert in Parabiago", "The Christmas Gospel Concert" at the Galleria Theatre, the symphonic choir of the Amadeus Orchestra at the Leone da Perego...A joy in waiting...Here are my experiences…
The Grand Christmas Concert in Parabiago
Yesterday, December 23rd, the Grand Christmas Concert in Parabiago was staged, organized by the Municipal Administration of Parabiago at the Church of Saints Gervaso and Protaso for the exchange of greetings. It was a concert of "Traditional" Christmas music which featured the great Christmas hits and for the anticipation of the nativity. This can be understood from the repertoire: like, recalling some songs, “A Great Christmas”, Las Christmas”, an excellent performance of “We are the World”, the touching“Ave Maria”, .an engaging “You come down from the Stars” em>, a profound Adeste Fideles, up to the emotional “White Christmas” performed by a wonderful instrumentalist and vocalist Martina Santoro.
Up to this point we could say that there was a lot of involvement from all the participants who packed the SS provost's office. Gervasio & Protasio. The thing I liked was that two young conductors took turns on stage: Simone Clementi and Giovanni Savastio.
Furthermore, on the Altar there were four choirsnamely theSanta Cecilia, the Laudar Cantando, the SS Lorenzo and Sebastiano choir and “In letitia”. This is a beautiful example: many young people, around 180, who brought joy and happiness to the community
Christmas Gospel Concert at the Galleria Theatre
Another genre of music was staged on Wednesday 21st at the Galleria theater "The Christmas Gospel". Here the American group led by Vincent Bohanan & Sound of Victory performed proposing traditional gospel songs that captivated the audience, sold-out for the occasion, in > an atmosphere capable of combining spirituality and rhythm, religious feeling and joy of living.
Vincent & co, proposed songs such as “Oh Holy Night”, “Joy To The World”, the choir also danced “JoyFul, JoyFul”, a famous piece from the film Sister Act 2. But if the rhythm was still not enough, shouting “stand up” (everyone standing ed.), the room danced to ““Jerusalema”, until the encore of “Oh Happy Day” .
Here too, reflection is a must: a few days before Christmas, evenings like these, with this music that reaches straight to our hearts strong> shake us out of our “everyday life”. It is moments like these, however, from which we need to draw new life to listen to our hearts again. Music brings back the joy of living.
Concerto “Christmas is…” al Leone da Perego
Here at the Leone da Perego", the unsuitable place to host the Amadeus symphony choir and orchestra, was overcome by the skill of the director Marco Raimondi and of its orchestral members and choristers. The musical group performed in a solidarity concert in favor of the "La Sequia" Association, proposing pieces from the classical choral tradition performed and sung with skill . The director, my friend Maestro Marco Raimondi, at the end of the performance declared:“to make the public aware of and passionate about good music together with our support aimed at those who spend time and passion to help those less fortunate than us. For Amadeus it was a concert, together with the other two great concerts worth remembering, which ended with the now usual standing ovation from the audience and there cannot be a greater satisfaction for us. I agree with the statement and add thanks again to this area that pampers us, gives us evenings like these that make us feel part of this community. So much serenity and joy. Merry Christmas everyone
15^ edizione del festival “diffuso” nell’Altomilanese che coinvolge 14 comuni con 25 spettacoli “gratuiti”.
Lo sapevi che tra le tante eccellenze sull’Altomilanese, spicca anche Donne In•canto?. Quest’anno è la 15 edizione ed io prima come assesempione.info e poi come sempionenews.it le ho seguito tutte.
Oltre alla inaugurazione sabato 22 ho seguito una bella performance di Caterina Cropelli ed i Bastard of Dionisio nella stupenda location del Castello di Legnano.
Caterina, di 27 anni, che ho conosciuto al premio Donne incanto 2022, ha “incantato la stupenda location viscontea, proponendo brani della sua “giovane” playlist,della sua non coerenza con il brano ma anche contaminazioni con i Bastard of Doinisio.
Lei giovanissima e timida sul palco racconta i pensieri che generano le sue canzoni e quasi se ne vergogna. Poi imbraccia la chitarra, o l’ukulele, e parte per un viaggio musicale portando con sé il pubblico. I Bastard Of Dionisio sono in tre, formazione classica: chitarra, basso e batteria, suonano da 20 insieme e ci provano a picchiare piano, ma è impossibile trattenere l’anima rock. Sulla carta non dovrebbe funzionare e invece quando salgono sul palco del Castello di Legnano il suono acquista coerenza
Prima di entrare nella “accogliente” serata ti do’ un po’ di numeri e curiosità
Il festival al femminile ideato da Giorgio Almasio nel 2008 è una delle rassegne uniche in Italia e valorizza l’espressione artistica, al femminile, in tutte le sue declinazioni. Dal teatro, alla musica, alle performance fino alla poesia.Nel 2023 ha realizzato la 15^ edizione.
Madrina: il festival dalla prima edizione ha visto la testimonianza di diverse donne artiste in qualità di madrina: da Ottavia Piccolo, Barbara De Rossi, Marisa Laurito, Gina Lollobrigida, Giuliana De Sio, alla Lina Wethmuller,. . L’edizione 2023 è stata Vanessa Gravina.
Dedica 2023: Ogni anno il festival Donne incanto dedica la stessa ad una donna straordinaria. Quest’anno è stato dedicato a Maria Callas.
Donne e solidarietà: il festival guarda anche a chi è in difficoltà. Dedica una parte degli introiti con donazioni alla “Valigia di salvataggio”. E’ un progetto ideato da Barbara De Rossi nel 2017, che accoglie le donne vittime di violenza ed il termine valigia realmente è una valigia pronta con “cose” di prima necessità per chi deve “scappare” dalla violenza. Il direttore artistico Giorgio Almasio ha ricordato che dal 2017 a oggi il Festival ha raccolto 25.000 euro
Curiosità
Il periodo: da maggio a ottobre (circa 6 mesi di cultura diffusa con in finale, l’assegnazione del Premio “Donna In•canto 3ª Edizione”.
Dove. Essendo diffuso riguarda 14 comuni dell’Altomilananese.
Commenti personali e perché approfittare di questa occasione culturale.
Ieri è stata proprio una bella serata dove ho potuto salutare amici, il direttore Giorgio Almasio e l’amico e presidente di Fondazione Ticino Olona, Salvatore Forte che si prodiga, fin dalla prima edizione a supporto del festival insieme ai comuni coinvolti.
Il festival è gratuito (per quello detto prima) Socialità: tante persone vivono l’attesa del festival e grazie alle prenotazioni obbligatorie, il festival è sempre sold-out Rete: Il festival coinvolge 14 comuni e rappresenta una rete “culturale” importante Validità della proposta culturale: da maggio a ottobre arrivano, ogni anno, il meglio delle artiste italiane al femminile (gratuitamente).
Lo sapevi che il Rugby Sound Festival di Legnano, compie 23 anni? E’ il festival civic-local piu’ importante del nostro territorio.
Io lo seguo da 21 anni, da quando è partito a Parabiago, dove risiede la longeva squadra del Parabiago Rugby 1948, prima allo stadio Libero ferrario, poi al Marazzini- Venegoni e poi all’Isola del castello di Legnano. Dal festival son passati tanti artisti che grazie allo stesso da emergenti si sono affermati: da Salmo, a Sfera e Basta, per passare o dal legnanese Andrea che è diventato “Shiva”.
Anche quest’anno non potevo mancare ed ho seguito le prime tre serate.
Dopo la sosta di rito allo Street Food District e la coda alle casse per l’immancabile birretta, per la fiumana di gente che non ha voluto mancare alla prima del Rugby Sound Festival 2023 la serata con l’ingresso sul palco dei Planet Funk: un ritorno a Legnano, quello di una delle band italiane più blasonate ed amate nel mondo, che non poteva che essere trionfale. Ventitre anni di successi planetari condensati in un’ora e mezza di pura adrenalina, con il pubblico che non ha mollato la posizione conquistata nel prato neanche durante un violento acquazzone, ospite indesiderato ma previsto anche per questa edizione del Festival organizzato da Shining Production.
